Welcome to our class webpage. My name is Angie Scott and I am proud to be an educator and life long learner.
I have been an educator for 21 years. I taught in Randolph County Schools for 12 years and have taught in Asheboro City Schools for 9 years. During those 21 years, I have taught fourth and fifth grade. I love teaching children and watching them grow daily within our classroom. I completed my Masters in Education with a Literacy Concentration from High Point University in May of 2015. I also received my undergraduate degree in elementary education from HPU. I received my add-on licensure for AIG from the University of Pembroke.
I am married and have two boys. Liam is a Teachey Tiger in fifth grade and Julian is continuing his endeavor known as "middle school". He attends Southwest Randolph Middle School. We enjoy spending time as a family and doing things together. Our highlights this summer included trips to the lake and beach. I even skied behind the boat!
I think education is extremely important. One should never stop learning. Always try to learn something new each day. It will only make you a better person. I constantly observe my students and what they are learning each day. I learn from them as much as they learn from me! I think it is important for your students to see that I learn something new everyday.
