Good Behavior is expected at all times. Show your good character to everyone by being a responsible 5th grader. Expectations are listed below with classroom rules listed under each one.
We are Respectful...
1. Respect yourself, your school, everyone, and their belongings
We are Responsible…
2. Be Prepared
3. Make Positive Choices
We are Learners…
4. Listen and follow directions
5. Do your best work
This year our class is using the program Class Dojo for Behavior contracts this year. Students will be able to earn Dojo points as a positive reinforcement throughout the day. DOJO points can be earned
for things like showing respect to a classmate or doing their best work. If they follow the basic rules listed above, they will not have any problems earning DOJO points. On the first day of school the students and I went over this plan. In collaboration, we created examples of behaviors for which they can earn dojo points. These examples will be based on the classroom expectations listed above, that are also school expectations. Students can also lose points for not following classroom expectations. Students are given the opportunity to earn prizes for every 25 points they earn on DOJO. We also work as a class toward goals for extra incentives.
Our Goal is to have 100% of our families signed up to use DOJO. If you have not signed up, please click on the link below and sign up. I have sent home a code to make it as easy as possible to sign up. There is also an app, which makes it simple for you to access on your phone.
